I want to buy a new digital camera, but am very confused about the type of camera to buy.
Some of my friends told me to buy a Digital Compact Camera like the Sony Cybershot T300. And others told me go for a Digital SLR.
Can you guys tell me which one is better and a good model to buy???

I’m looking for a compact digital camera that filters can be fitted to so that I can use filters in my photography.
Are there any on the market?
I’m looking at high spec cameras, not budget ones.
Any info would be appreciated.

What cameras have an interval shooting mode? I want a compact digital camera that will take a picture once in a while (like once a minute or something). That way I can leave it running all night and watch the stars go buy or something. Is there a name for this feature, besides time interval mode?

Onward we go to the compact cameras that I’ve found with a built-in interval timer (intervolometer). Please add to the list in the comments! I’m always looking for more compacts that have timers. Sorry that I lingered on the almost impossible to find Epsons but they served some other important points.

I want to buy a new digital camera and I want to know which pocket-sized camera (one you could actually fit into a shirt or pant pocket without sticking out too much, and one that is not super heavy) has the highest optical zoom on the market right now. So far I’m leaning towards Nikon S10, it’s the only ultra-compact with 10x zoom and image stabilizer. Anything better out there? Any reasons to decide against this one?
I liked the Panasonic better for the features, but it seems just a bit too bulky for a truly pocket camera. I guess I’m really looking for what’s classified as the ultra-compact.
So, in order of importance the features are:
ultra-compact size
optical zoom
image stabilization

So I’m after a compact digital camera as I’ll be traveling soon. I’m into photography and at the minute I’m self teaching myself but hoping to do some courses in the future.
I want a compact camera which will also allow me change settings etc.
Any recommendations for a camera or particular brand to go with?
I have a canon at the moment however it’s a bit too bulky for my travels.

I just purchased the Canon A720 IS but am very disappointed with the slow flash recovery. It may be fine for pictures of still images but we can’t capture pictures of our baby fast enough when using the flash. We would like a digital camera that has similar features to the Canon A720 IS but that is quicker when using the flash. We do want something fairly compact though (not an SLR). Any recommendations?

i like digital slrs but iwas wondering would it be worth my while to buy a good digital compact camera if i need to discreetly take photos.

Hello friends, I am intending to buy a compact Digital camera.
I found many Branded cameras in the market.
After hearing many comments i have shortlisted three brands for me.
Nikon, Canon ,Sony
Now, from these three cameras i dont know which one to choose.
Somebody saying Nikon is the best and some opting for Canon, then sony.

Kindly, let me know which camera is best in the case of compact cameras.
Anybody please help me to choose a good camera wihout any confusion.
