Does anyone know of any compact digital camera that can focus, zoom and use flash during video recording. Or at least focus and optical zoom.
Also, the length of video should be restricted only by memory size.
It is OK if it is a bit bigger than most compact cameras but not the size of camcorders or digital SLRs

My mother in law asked me this question and I really don’t know how to answer her. My sister in law and I both have SLRs and a digital compact. They all take awesome pictures and its hard for either one of us to explain to her which is better. I need some advice, any advice will do…

I am buying a new digital camera and so far the one I like best is FUJIFILM FINEPIX J120B but the one drawback I noticed is that it’s average amount of pictures you can take before it dies is 150, is this good or bad?

Nikon Coolpix 900 camera, an older digital camera. Just bought it in very good condition but no Nikon serial cable. Camera has compact flash memory card. Need to transfer pictures to my desktop computer, a Dell Dimension E310. Any way to do it without the cable? Original Nikon cable is mostly unavailable in my ‘net search thus far.

Which one is better for use for vacations and photography classes? Thanks for your answers!

I am researching buying a new digital camera and would like to be able to take pictures of my busy kids without a lag-time. Not sure if I am avid enough to spend the money on a SLR.

I have this perfect snaky stretch of road up to the ski hill that I want to video and make people dizzy.
Hey Mad….Been here but almost everything I ask or reply to gets flagged. Had to create another persona on an account that dosn’t have all my business stuff on it. You will see me more often as that guy.

I’m interested in buying a Nikon D300 this week, but was very interested in using a Canon compact photo printer. I know most people’s first response will be to buy a Canon Camera, but I have about ten years of Nikon lenses that I’m not too keen to part with at a loss, so finding a portable printing solution is kind of foremost right now…thanks!
